CARE

PRECIOUS: Solace items are created from precious semi precious stones. They need tender loving wear and care.

DO NOT HANG to store but rather lie flat to ensure that item will not stretch unduly (especially if strung on silk).

FLAT & SOFT: Store on flat and soft surface to insure that item does not get dull with scratches.

KEEP IN THE DARK: Some stones are light sensitive and therefore should not be stored in sunlight.

DO NOT DUNK: CLEAN STONES only with soft cloth or an agent designated for pearls or soft stones, especially if strung on silk.

DO NOT DUNK: CLEAN CLASPS or metal findings only with a q-tip and silver cleaner to specific finding. Sterling Silver cleaner is very abrasive for stones and pearls.

TASSELS: Wrap in paper so it doesn’t get straggly and bent.

LENGTH

MARIE-KAYE: You will see her stylin’ about the website, donning necklaces to illustrate the length of a specific piece. Otherwise the illustration above will give you an idea of placement.

COLLAR & CHOKER: 13"- 16" lengths should be comfortably close fitting, lying above the collar bone, or up on the neck.

PRINCESS: 17"- 19" lengths are probably the most common necklace seen in a graduated strand, although any style necklace can be made in this standard length, which rests just over the collar bone.

MATINEE: 20"-24" a drape of beads on the chest.

OPERA: 28"-32" length strand which drapes to one's mid section.

LARIAT or ROPE: 45"+ a long string of beads that can be looped, wrapped or draped.

DESIGN

UNIQUE: Each item from Solace is one of a kind. Due to the unique and natural stones, it is impossible to recreate exact multiples of any one item. Sometimes something similar can be created but NEVER exactly.

SOLD STONES: Items created and sold  - to serve as a reference to something you might like to order.
